Course Description
The course is designed to provide guidance and support for the efficient and effective implementation, participation, management and coordination of Erasmus+ projects in fields of education, training, and youth. The Erasmus+ programme supports actions, cooperation and synergies between organisations in order to strengthen the profiles of professionals, upgrade the services provide and enrich tools and resources in teaching and learning both informal and non-formal learning settings.
The investment in knowledge, skills and competences will benefit individuals, institutions, organisations and society as a whole by promoting the European values, ensuring solidarity, and ensuring social inclusion, access and participation of all people in the digitalised society and the labour market. Once you have the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus+ project, then do your best to successfully implement all activities, develop all products, organise all events and monitor the financial aspects while keeping up the quality of the work and reaching out to disseminate the results to others.

Monday
Introduction to the course and get-to-know your trainers and fellow participants with networking activities. Practical issue arrangements and weekly schedule timetable. Presentation and registration by all participants to the “Emphasys Key Action 1 lifetime support platform“. This innovative platform will grant you access to all the material and supporting documentation of the course as well as a discussion forum for communication with all participants and trainers.
Introduction to the Efficient Project Implementation Management and Coordination Course. Focus on the analysis of an approved project, decoding of all relevant aspects (Project Management and Implementation, Transnational Meetings, Intellectual Outputs, Multiplier Events, Learning/teaching/training activities –travel, subsistence, linguistic support, special needs, Exceptional Costs), defining of terms through a glossary, clarifying roles, tasks and activities, as well as products. Reviewing the time schedule of development through the Gantt Chart and reflecting on pit-falls and gaps. Learning how to prepare an adequate Management, Communication and Cooperation Plan for the consortium.
Tuesday
Analysis of all financial aspects of the project including a breakdown of the approved budget as per the guidelines of each category, explanation of eligible expenses, guidance on the preparation of timesheets, provision of additional evidence, monitoring exceptional costs, preparation of financial reports etc. Reviewing of good practices and successful tools that can support the financial management and coordination of the budget.
Wednesday
Focusing on the Quality Assurance, Evaluation and Monitoring of the project’s activities and implementation. Learning how to analyse the requirements of a project and matching them with an adequate QEA plan. Identifying aspects for evaluation, defining qualitative and quantitative indicators, providing templates for the evaluation various activities such as meetings, products etc. Preparation of QEA Plans and strategies for successful implementation. Reviewing good examples and practices, as well as successful tools that can support close monitoring and evaluation.
Thursday
Analysing the requirements and targets as set in the approved proposal for the dissemination and promotion of the project’s products. Defining the target groups to be reached, the activities to be organised, the channels to be used, the social media to be created etc. Exploring the benefits of newsletters, audio-visual or printed material. Learning how to prepared a Dissemination Plan and how to monitor its implementation. Understand how to ensure further exploitation of the results and how to sustain the functionality of the services. Reflecting on good practices, review successful tools for reporting and clarify the difference between dissemination, exploitation and sustainability.
Friday
Gaining first-hand experience in designing the visual identity of a project. Learning how to design, develop and upload a website using WordPress by analysing existing ones, defining the structure, content, functionalities etc. Be creative! Exploring Canva for creating the logo of the project, as well as through the use of other creative and design tools. Preparing the templates to be used for the official documents and reports.
Reviewing progress reports, interim reports and final reports. Exploring the Dissemination and Mobility Platforms for the uploading of official documents and reporting of products, activities and financial data. Exploring various management, communication and coordination tools used for the Erasmus+ projects that can support the implementation and the reporting requirements. Exploring other tools offered online for the successful communication of the partners such as Slack while reviewing the benefits and pitfalls of open source tools for storing data.
Saturday
Recap and conclusion of the course. Course evaluation, recommendations, outcomes and further steps – remote support through the Emphasys Key Action 1 platform. Award of certificates to the attendees. Arrangements and assistance for airport transportation.
